Immune System Boosters
People can get sick all year round, but the winter season seems to be an particularly hard time of year for the immune system. There is often a reason that the winter time is dubbed “flu season.” Cold weather, harsh conditions–these all help to make the immune system weaker. It’s tough to fight off a flu when you’re fighting to stay warm. The loss of access to fresh air and being compelled to spend the majority of your time indoors where it is stuffy can make it very difficult for your body to keep a cold from setting in. A home that never has opened windows is a mating ground for cold germs. Here are some things you can do to further improve your immune system. You can even ask yourself “What cause ringing in the ears?”.
Get regular exercise. Regular physical exercise can make you sweat and increases your endorphins. Regular exercise helps you stay in good physical shape while maintaining your weight and it strengthens your immune system at the same time. The endorphins that will spike through the body don’t just help keep your spirits elevated during the cold and dark months of winter. They increase the energy of your immune system which makes it better able to protect against infections. Studies demonstrated that getting five days of exercise a week can reduce the amount of sick time you take by almost half.
Get a therapeutic massage. There are plenty of reasons to treat your self to a spoiling “spa day.” Swedish therapeutic massage, specifically, has proven useful in fighting off infection. Massage helps to improve your body’s blood circulation and will activate the cells that you need for keeping infections and flu germs at bay. That sort of massage can also allow you to relax. Lots of things are better once you aren’t bogged down with anxiety. I’m not feeling really comfortable about my ear buzzing causes.
You could be tempted to lock yourself away from social contact for a few weeks. After all, the less social interaction you’ve got, the less likely you’ll be to come into contact with flu and cold germs right? Technically that may be correct. It is also true that you’ll require social interaction along with your friends to keep your mood elevated. We aren’t sure why but the immune system is a lot stronger when you are happy. You will need those afternoons containing friends and fun to stay healthy. Don’t stay away from your friends. There are a variety of things that can be done to protect against colds, flues and other illnesses but nothing can compare to the boost your immune system receives when you are having fun with your friends and are happy.
Staying healthful in the cold months doesn’t need to be challenging. In fact, the same things you might think raises your chances of illness will be the same stuff that keeps those illnesses away!
